The Deming Art Center will feature the annual DAC Membership exhibit. Anyone who is a member is eligible to participate and there will be a diverse body of work on display. The show will run from October 2-30, 2024. Intake will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 9AM-3PM. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1PM – 2:30PM and all are welcome.

An exhibit devoted entirely to “Our Feathered Friends,” will be the subject of the September 2024 art display at the Deming Art Center. Stop by and step into a fantastical world of birds. The show will be up from September 4-28, 2024. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

“Folk Art” is the subject of the August 2024 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Folk Art has been described as art made from the heart and can be decorative as well as being created for practical purposes. The exhibit will be up from August 2-30, 2024. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

The Potter’ s Guild of Las Cruces will present the July 2024 Fire and Fiber Show at the Deming Art Center. It promises to be one of their best.  There are 18 artisans and over thirty artworks.  Works vary from elaborate pottery and macrame hangings to fine figurative sculpture with a bit of fiber. There are ravens, tortoise, and ancient cliff dwellings to a warrior goddess with a tile and fiber crown. Pandora’s Box will be opened to view a vision ball of pottery, beads and fiber.  There will be at least one vessel of fiber and pottery flowers.  All work is for sale. This show will give the viewer a feast for the eyes and senses.  The many artful ways clay can be shaped, sculpted, stamped, formed, manipulated will be available and on display. This is brought to you by the people who make Empty Bowls possible.  There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1-2:30PM. The exhibit will be up from July 2-30, 2024.

Check out our June 2024 exhibit that will feature “Landscapes of New Mexico”. New Mexico’s scenic wonders are beautiful, varied and diverse. The exhibit will represent as many as possible in as many mediums as possible. The show will be up from June 2-28, 2024. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

The annual Luna County Fine Arts & Crafts Show will be presented as the May 2024 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Featured will be local artists and crafters from Luna County. It showcases many different mediums including painting, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry and more. Anyone living in Luna County is eligible to participate with up to 3 items. The exhibit will be up from May 2-30, 2024 (closed Memorial Day). There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1PM- 3PM.

Check out our 2024 High School Student Show! The Deming Arts Center will feature the Deming High School art students. It is always exciting to see what they have created, and we invite the community to support these young artists by stopping by to see for yourselves. The exhibit will be up from April 3 - 29. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 1-3PM

The DAC turns into a wonderland of color and an exciting fabric display in March. The local quilting club, The Quilting B’s will exhibit bed-size quilts, along with wall hangings, challenges, dolls, bead art and smaller quilted items. Many will be for sale. This year there will be two quilts that will be raffled off and a silent auction. The silent auction will feature several antique quilts, two antique throws, and some new quilts. The raffle and silent auction will take place on March 29 at 3 pm. The exhibit will be up from March 2-29, 2024.
